El DORADO COUNTY, CA - El Dorado County sheriff's detectives arrested a 20-year-old Pollock Pines man on suspicion of twice burglarizing a Placerville home.
The burglarized home, on the 2700 block of Morts Court, was first targeted on Jan. 26 and then again on Jan. 31. Items ranging from video game systems and games, jewelry, a coin collection, prescription medications and pellet rifle were among the items taken, said sheriff's Lt. Bryan Golmitz.
Detectives zoned in on suspect Travis Cunha after checking up on known burglars in the area and going to area pawn and gold shops and second-hand stores, Golmitz said.
Detectives obtained an arrest and search warrant for Cunha based on what they learned and served the warrants Feb. 9. Golmitz said detectives recovered most of the stolen items from Cunha's bedroom while other property had been sold to friends and associates.
Cunha was arrested and booked into El Dorado County Jail. Bail was set at $250,000.
