70th Anniversary Of Japanese Internment In World War II
Today is the 70th anniversary of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Executive Order 9066 placing more than 120,000 Japanese Americans in internment camps. The California Museum located in Downtown Sacramento currently has the exhibit, "Uprooted! Japanese Americans During WWII," open to the public.
Through photographs and artifacts - including crafts and other artwork made in the internment camps - this exhibit surveys a century of Japanese American history in California.
